An adult and an 8-year-old girl were left lying in the street by a hit-and-run driver for whom Inglewood police were still searching on Monday.

Inglewood police provided this image of a vehicle similar to one involved in a hit-and-run crash on Nov. 25, 2015.
Officers responded to La Brea Avenue and Queen Street about 5:30 a.m. Nov. 25, the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, according to a news release issued by the Inglewood Police Department on Monday afternoon.
The adult victim and the girl were discovered lying in the street; they were hospitalized for moderate-to-severe injuries, the release stated.
A witness reported the victims were walking in a marked crosswalk when a vehicle traveling southbound on La Brea ran a red light and struck them.
The car — described as a dark green or black Nissan Altima — initially pulled over but then fled, continuing out of sight southbound on La Brea.
The vehicle was “more than likely” to have front-end damage and possibly a broken windshield, the release stated.
The older victim was walking with her granddaughter when the pair were struck, leaving the woman in a coma, according to a KTLA viewer who said she was the woman’s sister.
Traffic investigators were reviewing surveillance videos to try to find images of the crash.
